It was the least expected defeat that caused India for an early exit from the World Cup. Though they have a chance (a minutest) if Bermuda beat Bangladesh to reach Super-8, it is virtually all over for India.
India won the toss and send the Lankans to bat. The decision was a good one, as proved by the Indian seamers. They did not allow the Sri Lankan batsmen to settle. They took wickets at regular intervals.
But the indisciplined bowling of Indians where shown again. The extras given by the Indian bowlers was 27. This is the major area where India needs to concentrate.
But the Indian card palace began to broke down. First it was Uthappa, then Ganguly and the great Sachin who fell cheaply.
By this defeat against SriLanka, Indian team has performed its worst best after 1979 when they where thrown out in the first round itself.
Better to support Bermuda side, or fix the match so that Indians go through to second round. But here also one more question. What are the Indian team going to do if they go to the next round?
