Anil Kumble. That is what I will give the name for the fighter. But unlike other warriors he is a calm warrior who strikes with his ball on the opposition rather than with his tongue.
He is now the third highest wicket taker in the history of world cricket. He owns more than 600 wickets in his kitty. It is such a rare distinction that any bowler would feel jealous about. Yet he is the most generous human you will find in the field when India is playing. But not anymore, Kumble has announced his retirement as everyone night know by now; amidst the third test between Australia and India on the final day.
I do not want to post the statistics of what he have achieved till now, just because it is available everywhere in all fans hearts, all newspapers, all sports websites and all over. I would rather stress how he silently transformed the Indian bowling attack and why I call him a real warrior.
Being humble he earned the respect from all around, being performance oriented he won for India most of the matches he played for.
The praises are more for this great man. Let India and rest of world who plays (of course who plays cricket) give him a befitting retirement to his new life.
