The movie starts in Golden temple, with the blessings of the Rab (Lord) and then the hero Surinder Sahni (Shah Rukh Khan), an aam aadmi bringing his newly wed wife Tani in Amritsar Railway station. It is really interesting to see an aam movie without much bollywood usual stuff till a long time in the movie. Shah Rukh Khan seems to be perfectly fit for his role of aam aadmi.

At Amritsar where Surinder lives their life begins in two storey. Tani in ground floor and Surinder in first floor which is Surinder's choice to leave Tani to live as per her choice.
Surinder is then seen as changing his attire and attitude for his wife, for her to love him. Tani is obsessed with dancing and Surinder changes himself as Raaj Kapoor and he becomes Tani's dance partner for a show. Surinder as Raaj impresses Tani a lot, and finally Raaj confesses his love to Tani. Only at this point that Tani reveals that she is married women. Instead of revealing himself as Surinder, Raaj instead insists Tani leave Surinder. Tani at first agrees and later on before the final dance show (at climax) refuses to go with Raaj. Then Surinder ditches Raaj and dances with Tani for winning the dance show. Here ends the movie.
By simply narrating the story no-one can get the impression of the tight love between on-screen couple Surinder/Raaj and Tani. It has been simply narrated and rightly revealed. But only thing that comes as a negative point will be the style of living in 2000's the way they used to live in 1990's. Surinder could have been a little more maked up for the new age rather than telling the story of 1990's.
As with the case with Om Shanti Om, in this movie guest appearances by Kajol, Bipasha, Preity Zinta, Lara Dutta, Rani Mukerjee in the song Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke least impresses.
The background music is a plus, and the innocent love story is the real hero of this movie. Haule Haule tune seems to be pretty much interested and it appears almost everywhere in the movie, especially where Surinder is in romantic mood. The song Haule Haule and its filming is really wonderful. Thank God no America/Australia or any overseas location for the song. The simplicity of the song attracts very much. Salim-Sulaiman combination hits the right chord for Haule Haule. Rest of the songs are forgettable.
But expect lots and lots of fantasies. Afterall it is cinematic to have a husband with moustache and glass fouls her wife with a more young look dance-partner.
Good family entertainer. Worth watching atleast one time.
